Lots of research shows that people who volunteer tend to live longer, have more satisfaction & happiness in their lives, and tend to be much more resilient when confronted with stress or trauma. As an all-volunteer organization we have learned the joy of service as the primary tool of building community, wellness, & fun. There are many ways to help out in Q-MoB, informally by cleaning up after a potluck or stopping to help someone struggling on one of our hikes, and more formally by learning about the many roles & teams listed below. The most important thing is to begin to see yourself as the Creator of Community, rather than just the consumer of community. By bringing people together regularly to do things you love, you will find yourself a lot happier and connected to those who encourage and value your happiness. SEND US A NOTE if you want to learn more about volunteering. And if you don't have time to volunteer, consider BECOMING A MONTHLY SUSTAINING MEMBER so our volunteer teams will have the resources they need to save lives by connecting isolated men with the abundance of community.
